Flywheel Honey Badger and Weather.

The weather for tomorrow’s Honey Badger ride departing from Flywheel in Talent is looking pretty grim. The weather services are calling for snow down to as low as 3500ft in the Cascades. The routes all top out at just over 4000ft. If we get some snow accumulation that makes the routes impassable or even dangerous, we will pull the plug and reschedule for another day. I don’t want someone stranded and hypothermic in the Little Applegate. If it’s wet and rainy, then the plan is still to ride. There will be a warming/aid station at the base of the last climb with a warming fire, and a tent to get out of the weather for a bit. You will be able to throw some extra clothes in there and whatever else you think you might want. The decision to pouch on with the ride or call it will be made tomorrow morning. Thanks.
