2026 Honey Badger Rides
About 15–20 years ago I started putting together gravel rides to show folks some great
routes I had found in our region and to connect with the local cycling community, in what at the time was a new segment of the sport. They became the Honey Badger Rides.

Over the years it grew into 41 routes, 1,600+ miles of riding, spread across 17 areas,
with multiple distance and difficulty options. Discovering new areas, scouting routes,
and sharing them with you all have always been my favorite parts of Honey Badger
Rides.

This year, I won’t be hosting the regular scheduled Honey Badger Rides.
This was a hard decision that I wrestled with for a while, but between work, life, and the
time it takes to put everything together, it’s the right time for me to scale things back and free up some space to explore again.

The good news: Honey Badger Rides aren’t going anywhere.
The website will stay up as a free resource with:
 detailed route maps
 descriptions and photos
 downloadable GPX files for GPS units

My hope is that people will keep using the site to ride their favorites, discover new
routes, show others what you’ve been shown, and build new adventures.
I will still be hosting the Juanita Lake Campout Ride in October.

Thanks to everyone who’s ridden, helped out, and supported this over the years. It’s
been a great community to be part of.
